A pregnancy rate is the number of pregnancies (live births, stillbirths and therapeutic abortions) per 1,000 women of reproductive age (15 to 49).
Across Niagara and Ontario, pregnancy rates have remained stable over the past five years.
In 2014, the pregnancy rate in Niagara was 50.3 pregnancies per 1,000 women of reproductive age. Across Ontario, the pregnancy rate is slightly higher, with 54.3 pregnancies per 1,000 women of reproductive age.
