Females

For females over the age of 65, West Lincoln and Niagara list ischaemic heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases among the leading causes of death. The only difference between the two areas is that West Lincoln reports chronic lower respiratory diseases, whereas in Niagara, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, lung cancer and diabetes mellitus are reported.

Males

For males over the age of 65, West Lincoln and Niagara list ischaemic heart disease, lung cancer and chronic lower respiratory diseases among the leading causes. The differences between West Lincoln and Niagara are that West Lincoln reports diseases of the urinary system and colorectal cancer, whereas in Niagara, cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus are reported.
