Hepatitis D is a virus that can only infect people with hepatitis B. It is most often acquired from contaminated needles but can also be transmitted by close contacts and, uncommonly, sexual activity.
Symptoms of hepatitis D are the same as those of hepatitis B which can include stomach pain and jaundice.
