Brucellosis - Statistics and Incidence Rate

Brucellosis is a bacterial infection that is usually spread from animals to humans from bodily fluids and ingestion of unpasteurized milk and cheese. It is rarely spread from person to person.

People with brucellosis have many symptoms similar to the flu and can include:

  • Diarrhea
  • Fever
  • Joint and muscle pain
  • Headache

  • Monitoring as far back as 2006, there have been no reported cases in Niagara
