Goals

In delivering this presentation, the teacher will:

  • Emphasize the importance of active school travel
  • Provide students with information on pedestrian safety, wheel safety and rules of the road
  • Encourage students to participate in active and safe travel to and from school

Objectives

By the end of this presentation, students will:

  • Identify knowledge of road signs, pedestrian safety, wheel safety and the outdoor environment
  • Learn safe practices while walking or wheeling to school
  • Practice road safety, correctly identify road signs, and explain the importance of active school travel
