Ticks should be brought to Public Health for identification.
Once the tick has been identified, your client will be notified by either a Public Health inspector or a registered nurse.

Store the tick in a clear, dry container or in a double resealable plastic bag.
Step 1: Complete the online identification form
Step 2: The patient must deliver the tick to one of our Public Health Offices for timely identification and follow-up.
Niagara Region Public Health does not receive results from ticks that are sent to the Public Health Ontario lab.
