Submitting Ticks for Identification (Health Care Professionals)

Identification results will be supplied within 48 hours to the physician's office and client / patient if identified as a black-legged tick. It will be sent to the National Biological Laboratory for testing of Lyme disease bacteria.

Testing is for surveillance purposes only. Treatment should not be delayed pending test results.
