7 Days Inn - Outdoor Pool Inspection Results
Closures, Convictions and Orders
June 21, 2018
An inspection of the property and premises municipally known as 7 Days Inn, 6032 Lundy’s Lane, Niagara Falls, Ontario, which was carried out on June 21, 2018 at or about 1:57 p.m. revealed the following:
1. Recirculation of the pool water occurs only through one skimmer. Inadequate recirculation, filtration and disinfection can lead to the transmission of disease among pool users.
2. The pool has been modified from its original configuration of 2 skimmers and a main drain, without notification to the Public Health Department. This change constitutes an alteration and therefore may also require a building permit.
3. The velocity of water through a single suction outlet could be so great as to create a suction and entrapment hazard for users of the pool. A suction entrapment of a pool user can cause serious injury or death.
