Inspection and Enforcement Statistics

Niagara Region continues to work with local municipal by-law offices to enforce provincial COVID-19 emergency regulations. These efforts are keeping our residents and local economy safer from COVID-19.

Since March 2020, Niagara Region has redeployed staff to help enforce the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, Reopening Ontario Act, and Niagara Region's face covering by-law.

For enforcement of emergency orders, residents can contact their local municipality's by-law office, or call Niagara Region's dispatch line after hours at 905-984-3690 or 1-877-552-5579.

This data only represents enforcement carried out by Niagara Region. Local municipalities, police, and the Province of Ontario are also authorized to enforce provincial regulations.
