As the province reopens, Niagara’s Section 22 order remains in place. These measures help to keep our community safe and ensure Niagara can move through Ontario's reopening steps.

As part of Ontario's reopening plan:

Research shows that in-person dining is risky as it involves close interaction over a long time without masks. This risk is inherent in the activity and of no fault of owners or operators. In 2020, after Niagara put this measure in place, we saw a sharp reduction in infections related to public dining.
