Niagara Investment in Culture Program

Niagara in Culture logo

Niagara Region created the Niagara Investment in Culture program to:

  • Build capacity in Niagara’s culture sector
  • Increase access to culture for residents and visitors in all parts of Niagara
  • Promote partnerships between public, private and governmental sectors
  • Provide support to Niagara culture groups and participants
  • Celebrate Niagara’s history, people and identity

Our aim is to support interesting, innovative and high quality cultural programming that is:

  • Niagara-based - created by, experienced in and celebrates the arts and heritage of Niagara
  • Inclusive - accessible and open to the public
  • Collaborative - features shared costs and enhanced partnerships
  • Accountable - has measurable impact and is sustainable

NIC Adjudication Panel Pool

Every two years, we solicit applications from qualified members in the community to form a pool of potential adjudicators to assist with evaluating Niagara in Culture program applications.

If accepted, potential adjudicators have their names in the pool for three years. Each year, depending on program applications, up to five adjudicator names will be selected from the pool to serve on that year's evaluation panel.

The adjudicators from the pool will be joined on the panel by:

  • A member of the Niagara Region Culture Committee
  • Up to three Regional councillors
  • Niagara Region staff (non-voting)
