Educational credentials within Canada must be granted from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Some positions may also require other credentials, such as licences, certifications and professional designations. Successful candidates must present evidence of credentials prior to starting.
Candidates with non-Canadian credentials must provide an evaluation confirming the Canadian equivalency of the credentials. Non-Canadian credentials must be at an accredited, recognized post-secondary institution and must be deemed to be equivalent to a certificate, diploma or degree at a recognized post-secondary institution in Ontario.

The following are conditions of employment and will only be required if you're offered a position with Niagara Region. They vary depending on the requirements of each position.
If a Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required, visit the Niagara Falls Police Station, 5700 Valley Way, Niagara Falls.
If you have an original Police Vulnerable Sector Check that was completed within six months of your start date, bring the original form to Human Resources for us to validate and photocopy.
If you choose to obtain your Police Sector Check at a police station other than Niagara Falls or online, the process could take up to four weeks which could delay your start date. Request to pick up your Police Sector Check at the police station instead of waiting for it in the mail as this may delay receipt of your documentation and start date.
