Financial Management and Planning is divided into four sections:

Accounting and Reporting Services

  • Provides all accounting services for the corporation (investments, accounts) while maintaining and developing policies
  • Organize and carry out the annual year end audit and financial statement process
  • Provides internal and external stakeholders with financial reporting
  • Administration and maintenance of financial records
  • Finds cost effective solutions

Budgets

  • Develops the current and capital budgets
  • Prepare and deliver budget guidelines and timetable
  • Develop long term capital financing
  • Maintain, record, track and analyze capital projects

Financial Operations and Support

  • Training and support of core modules within the region's financial system
  • Financial system integration

Purchasing

  • Issues purchase orders and contracts
  • Advertise and issue tenders, quotations and proposals
  • Maintain insurance and worker safety records for contractors
