Provide comments on the selection and implementation of solid waste management programs, and participate in the review of significant new waste management technologies;
Assist Staff in promoting public interest and involvement in the implementation of waste management programs, the development of new facilities, and to assist Staff in the evaluation of opportunities for Public/Private Sector Partnerships
Meetings of the WMAC are generally conducted on a bi-monthly basis or at the call of the Chair, to facilitate public input and to deal with matters related to the implementation of the long-term waste management system.
