Fares and Transfers

Your fare allows you to travel in one continuous direction along the shortest route, making as many transfers as needed to reach your destination.

Note: You are not required to pay an additional fee when transferring between Niagara Region Transit and any of the local transit services.

Purchasing Bus Passes

St. Catharines

Welland

Niagara Falls

All passes are valid aboard the local transit services.

Passengers can use their Regional passes to first board a local bus, and then obtain a transfer for use on any Niagara Region Transit bus.

Tax Credit for Transit Passes

Monthly passes and 10-ride cards are eligible for the Government of Canada's public transit tax credit.

Transfers Timelines

Transfers are free and must be obtained where you pay your fare. All transfers are valid for 120 minutes from the time you receive them.

The 120 minutes ensure that you will always have a valid transfer to catch the next bus.

Note: transfers with a "60 minute" stamp remain valid for 120 minutes.
