Niagara Region has appointed Adrienne Jugley as Commissioner of Community Services. Her appointment follows an extensive recruitment process which attracted a strong field of candidates.
Adrienne has been serving as Acting Commissioner since October 2015. She first joined Niagara Region in 2001 working in Public Health as Manager of Mental Health and later as Director of Clinical Services. Her previous experience includes serving as Executive Director of Niagara’s Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centre, managing her own private clinician practice and working as a clinical social worker. Adrienne holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto.
As Commissioner, Adrienne leads a department that responds to the fundamental needs of Niagara’s most vulnerable citizens through a spectrum of integrated programs and partnerships delivered by four divisions: Seniors Services, Children’s Services, Social Assistance and Employment Opportunities and Homelessness Services.
