The climate network consists of 13 precipitation stations and four full climate stations.
Precipitation Stations
The precipitation stations are composed of a tipping bucket rain gauge, data logger that sends rain- fall data to the ETS climate computer system. When rain or snow occurs, total depth of precipitation is measured (at 0.25 mm increments) and stored every five minutes.

Climate Stations
The climate stations are configured with wind direction and velocity sensors as well as temperature and relative humidity probes. Also included at each climate station is a tipping bucket rain gauge. All sensors are connected to a data logger. All data are averaged over a five minute interval and stored for automatic retrieval by the climate computer system.
