Little Recycler is a 5 year old who is obsessed with garbage, recycling and composting. A Senior Kindergarten student by day, he gave a speech to his fellow students this year on garbage and recycling. At home, Nicolas often helps his parents collect their garbage, recycling and organics from their house and takes it out to the curb. He gives his parents reminders of what can and cannot be recycled or composted. He also helps his parents and neighbours bring in their bins when he gets home from school at lunchtime. |

The Green Gobblin doesn't have just one, but two green bins! Loretta finds her green bins handy, attractive and easy to manage. During the gardening months, she uses her green bins every day and they are put out at the curb for collection every week. Believe it or not, this Organic Superhero has 11 backyard composters and whatever materials they can't handle, Loretta puts in her green bins for the Niagara Region to pick up and compost. She also likes to share her tips about composting and organics recycling. |

When it comes to waste diversion, The Innovator is committed to making sure as much waste as possible is recycled right at home for the benefit of his property. Keith's recycling program includes 9 rain barrels around his St.Catharines home to collect water for his trees and bushes. He has a backyard composter for food scraps and a shredder to chew up leaves for mulch. The end result of Keith's efforts is rich compost for his garden and never more than one bag of garbage for collection. |

The superhero team known as the Organics Five is doing its part to help the environment by keeping recyclable materials out of landfills. Everyone in the Hamm family of Vineland takes part in recycling, lead by Cathy, and supported by her husband John and their three children, Jake (The Invisible), Rachel and Sarah. Because of its amazing powers of consistently collecting their food and yard waste for the green bin, as well as using their blue and grey box boxes, the Organics Five has the ability to reduce their weekly garbage to as little as one bag. |

When it comes to convincing everyone about the importance of making sure recyclables are put in their proper place, the Caped Convincer is a member of an elite squad known by some people around her place of employment as the recycle police. Lorraine and her colleagues always have a green bin, blue box and grey box handy and make sure that everyone puts materials in their proper place. In fact, they have signs explaining exactly what is allowed to go in the green bin. |
