The flu specifically infects the nose, throat and lungs. The flu virus is highly contagious and spreads easily from person to person.
The seasonal flu shot is being offered at H1N1 community clinics. You can get both H1N1 and Seasonal Flu shots at the same time. Doctors and Health care providers also provide these shots.
There is no risk to receiving the H1N1 vaccine and seasonal flu vaccination at the same time. Additionally, if you have received your H1N1 vaccine previously, there is no concern with now getting your seasonal flu vaccination.
The seasonal flu shot is needed on an annual basis and is free. Unless there is a medical reason not to, everyone 6 months of age and older can benefit from getting a
seasonal flu vaccine (Fact Sheet).
