Planning for Employment in the Greater Golden Horseshoe

The Ministry of Public Infrastructure Renewal released a background paper entitled Planning for Employment in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.

The background paper is a first step in the employment area assessment referred to in Policy 5.3.4 of the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2006. The paper is intended to generate discussion on land use planning issues related to employment activities. It explores the changing nature of employment in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, the challenges of planning for employment, and potential strategies to better plan for employment.

We welcome your feedback on the background paper. If you have any comments or questions, or would like to receive a hard copy of the background paper, please contact us at placestogrow@ontario.ca or call us toll-free at 1-866-479-9781 or 416-325-1210. We are hoping to receive all feedback on the background paper by July 18, 2008.

Thank you for your continued interest and participation in the Places to Grow initiative and the Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, 2006.
