Accessing Records

The business of local government is intended to be transparent. Niagara Region prides itself on openness and transparency.

All agendas for standing committees, Regional Council, and their respective ad hoc and advisory committees, are public documents. They are available for viewing during regular business hours, at Regional Headquarters. Many, but not all, are available on the website.

Similarly, minutes of all meetings noted above are available for public review at Regional Headquarters during regular business hours. Minutes of standing committees and Regional Council, since January 2001, are available on this website.

Staff reports prepared for these committees and Council are also public documents - except for those dealing with property matters, personnel matters and matters of potential litigation.

If you would like to review agendas and minutes, they can be here viewed online, or you may contact the Corporate Records Division at extension 3219 for assistance.
